Well yesterday was no walk in the park. We started out with an Apheresis, flitering my blood. I spiked a 102F temp and everyone got real anxious over that. Then I did MRI, CT scan, and Occular appointment, where they dialated my eyes. NIH is thorough, I got to hand it to them. So they determined that something was wrong with the catheter and it could have been infected, so they had it taken out. Well it took about 2 hours to cut it out, with a pint or so of Lydocaine. So I started out at 7A and didn't leave until 7P. The Dr. who pulled the Catheter said he looked at the MRI's they took yesterday and there was a definite reduction in the size of the tumors. The downside is it feels like I've been shot in the chest with a 22; man is that sore. Well this afternoon, we go in and review all the tests we did yesterday and compare them all to previous tests and see what the next steps are, if there are any next steps. It took me 6 months to get this way, and will probably take me 6 months to get rid of all of it. Here goes nothing.

Dear Chris & Molly, It's good to hear from you. You guys are undoubtedly going through a living hell and I can't possibly understand the hardships and can only hope and pray that the improvements that the doctors see continue and expand until there is only good news to report (I think that was about a 100 word sentence so you take a breath now). I know the last thing on your mind is breakfasting at BJs or trying a dinner at the Olney Grill but whenever you're up to it let's get it on the calendar and do it - - in case you feel you need to cancel at the last minute that's ok, too. I know if you feel good enough to go out you'll do it but I don't want you to feel that you've got to keep a breakfast date. There's no news at this end, just work and preparing for work, and resting up from work, etc. I've got a ton of projects (repairs, etc) but never can find the time or energy to dive into them. We still talk about how totally beautiful Maui was and we want to go back there a lot. Love, hugs, and kisses from F&B
Hi Chris and Molly,
So good to see/talk with both of you yesterday. You did great on the VRS Chris! Thanks for your note in the mail, too. I pray that you keep giving that body some time to rest and heal, without overdoing it :) Let me know when you are up for some famous chocolate chip cookies! May God continue to bring you peace and rest.
Hi Chris and Molly,
Gee, Chris, you're a warrior! I guess all bikers are born that way. Members have asked me about you and wanted to know how you two guys are doing. Glad that students are out for the summer, and yet we still have a lot of work to do before the students get back to school...shucks, only 8 more weeks without them. Our prayers (EDM members) are with you at all times.
Dale
Hi, Kids:
Sheri here.
Chris, when I had my finger accident, the most painful part for me was having lidocaine injected. But, I took it like a man (I wanted to scream and cry but sucked it up like a dope :) ). I can sympathize with that part of your torture.
When you're feeling up to it, Car would love to meet you guys in Balmore again (and go to the antique store and the cafe place).
Thanks for the website.
Love, Sher
Fred: It's not so bad. Strength is coming back daily. We knew hardships would be part of this. It's getting better and the size of the tumors are getting smaller on a daily basis. Dennis, Beth, Marilyn and Doug want to come out yet this summer. That should get me up and running if nothing else does. Guaranteed, we will give you a call when they come in and we will do Olney Grill, unless you suggest something else, or even meet downtown, which I suspect they will stay down there. Chris
Deb: Chocolate chip cookies are welcome anytime. Looks like this is getting ready to be a very busy summer. Dennis, Beth, Marilyn and Doug are considering a joint trip out here. Molly and Carrie are planning a short trip to see Barry Manilow. I have a couple of college friends who are planning a pilgrimage also. Molly said she would be getting back to you real soon to plan for your trip. That's the fun part, even though it makes for a busy summer. Chris
Dale: Thanks so much for your thoughts and I swear they are all not for nothing. This treatment appears to be taking effect and things are slowly coming around. There is just no way God's hand and everyone's good thoughts have not had a very positive affect on me. I feel it daily. Thanks. Chris
Sheri: Anytime for a day in Balto or even Harve de Grace. There's a fesival in the summer there. We walked all over the town and it was pretty neat. Either is fine by us and I'm getting more energy back by the day. Chris
